Wii SD Card storage slot pictures released
Not so long ago we posted about one of the memory options for Nintendo Wii owners, which will be by way of an SD card.
There were questions about what this would look like on the Wii, however, today we have managed to grab hold of some of the first picture releases showing the slot.
In the original picture to the left (click thumbnail) its pretty difficult to see the full detail so we have also included this image with a slightly improved contrast which shows the detail of the Wii Slot (slightly childish but LOL
) in more detail to the right.
By the looks of things, the SD slot will fit nicely under the CD input tray, being cleanly covered by the flap which you can see to the left of the slot in these pictures. This will also help protect the SD Drive from over exposure to dust (or whatever else you find on a typical teenagers floor) when the SD drive isn’t in use.
Interestingly, if you look very closely above the SD slot, there is a small button on which appears to be written the words SYNC. Not really sure what this button will do yet (judging by the placement its still a prototype) but there are suggestions that this could be used sync all of the unique data on the console from the internal memory, or connect24 to the sd card.
Finally, there’s acres of spare space under this flap, something tells me that there’s going to be a few more hidden goodies under there by the time the Wii is finally released.

[...] We already know that an SD card will be used as one of the storage options for Nintendo’s Wii and the appropriate Slot has already been identified for this. [...]
