Kitten Born With Two Faces in Ohio
OK, we’ve reported on babies with three arms and Rat Snakes with two heads.
Today, we have a story of an even cuter critter.
On July 12th, 2006, a cat in Grove City Ohio gave birth to a two-faced kitten.
Slightly more cute then Cy, the one eyed cyclops kitten we’ve also reported on previously, this kitten, which has two mouths that meow in unison, two noses and four eyes, still seems to be a freak of nature.
There are two other kitten from the litter, but none of the other kittens have two faces. The owner of the cat, Charles, says having a kitten with two faces doesn’t bother him. He just wishes the two-faced kitten would nurse.
It is extremely rare to see a two-faced kitten, says Dr. Shane Bateman of the Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital. There is no real explanation as to why this would happen.
Its reported that the kitten later began nursing. Yay!
