This year Pikes Peak is a lot like flatulence in confined public*spaces: you need to be careful of the silent ones, most notably Monster Sport's E-Runner Pikes Peak Special EV.
Here's a short video of the build process of Monster Tajima's aluminum*space framed, all-wheel drive, carbon-clad car. But like all good*Japanese videos, all the juicy, technical bits are hidden behind*pixels. That's because the battery packs and EV tech in*Monster's car are top secret. No one knows exactly how powerful the*E-Runner is, but having seen the car in practice, where it posted*times of 4:14.786 and 4:13.343 on sections of the mountain, we can*confirm it's fast.
