The downloads cost just $4.99 from the iTunes online store. The games will only play on fifth-generation iPod and will not be able to play on your computer. The games will be controlled using the basic iPod scroll wheel and buttons.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced today a new launch day for Playstation 3. This will effect all PAL territories including PAL territories including Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa and Australasia.

With the Playstation 3 there are two different models; a high end and a low end model. Sony has been tring to push the systems high def qualities of the machine and it’s Blu-Ray medium. Just one problem the higher end HDMI compatable system will not come with HDMI cables.
Only the expensive $599 system includes HDMI. Copy-protected Blu-ray video discs can only output at 1080p using an HDMI cable but according to a recent update on their site Sony has decided not to include the HDMI cable is not included.

It shouldn’t really be a suprise as shortages have become common with system launches. Last Friday gamespot.com interviewed Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai. Some points in the interview suggested that Sony is expecting system shortages.
Hirai said in the interview, “The company is targeting 2 million PS3s available at launch, and an additional 2 million by the end of 2006.] Since we’re going with three territories, we haven’t really come up with an allocation just yet. But even if you do the simple math you’re talking about less than 700,000 units per territory, per major territory, between launch and the end of the year. So even if there was some fluctuation–you give Japan more, you give the US more, what have you–you’re going to end up with some shortages….
Following Nintendo’s lead Sony will be changing the color of their PlayStation 2 to boost their demographic. Today Sony of Europe has announced the release of their up coming Pink PlayStation 2.
