More negative press for Sony. Dana Jongewaard Official PlayStation Magazine editor has written on her blog on 1up.com that she will not be getting a Play Station 3 at launch.
Lately the PSP seems to be a little behind the DS. Many people are wondering when or if Sony will step up. To make matters worse it seems EA may be rethinking their development strategy with Sony and their PSP. Electronics Arts executive VP David Gardner was recently interviewed by MCV and told them of EA’s disappointment in the PSP.
“I don’t think Sony can afford to sit back, think they still have things they can do with the price and performance of the machine – things that they need to address.” Garner told MCV.
Gardner goes on to talk about why EA now has more faith in the Nintendo DS. “There’s no doubt that EA has historically bet more on PSP. I think we were excited by the technology, but the consumers have proven that actually what they want is fun. We must never forget that what we need to focus on is fun and so EA is putting more effort behind DS games – and creative ones that really take advantage of the hardware.”
