NOTTINGHAM, England (AFP) - England were 254 for three in their second innings against India, a lead of 187 runs, at tea on the third day of the second Test at Trent Bridge on Sunday after controversy raged at the end of the afternoon session.
Ian Bell was 137 not out after India withdrew an appeal for a run out against him off the last ball before tea where the batsman sprinted off the field believing 'time' had been called when the ball was in fact still 'live'.
Eoin Morgan was 21 not out.
England lead the four-match series 1-0.
