New Doctor actor is youngest ever

An interesting choice - I'm going to have to check out his stuff - seems a long wait to find out if Matt Smith is up to the challenge. He has a unique look to him, and from clips shown in Doctor Who Confidential, he's a capable actor.

How are they explain this? The Doctor in the US tv movie would have been his last of his regenerations.

Please really forgive me for being geeky. But they have only said in one story, The Deadly Assassin that a Timelord has only 12 Regenerations, meaning there are a total of 13 Doctors.

But even that rule can be bent, as the Master had a new series of Regenerations.

But Paul McGann was Doctor number 8 (7th Regeneration). Matt Smith will be 11th Doctor, meaning there are still 2 more regenerations left.

Sorry for the geek download, but I have some friends who are SERIOUS die hard Dr Who fans!

But the Doctor was forced to give some 2 or 3 I think to The Master when he was holding the Time Lord High Council hostage.
