It feels like a Mass effect in some way, there is a codex with history/religion/creatures/items and so and so, it updates... I have played the game.
It feels like a Mass effect in some way, there is a codex with history/religion/creatures/items and so and so, it updates when you click certain books, or monuments, when you encounter a new creature or when you visit a new region.
It has a lot more complex fighting sistem, where you can create a very precise pattern for your allies, like "if ally has lower than 40% health use this skill", or "if enemy frozen/paralized use this skill", or "if ally * is attacked do this".Very complex, and it's next to impossible to win whitout it.You may have at most 3 allies.
They have secrets for you to discover, and you need to increase your relationship with them in order to do this by choosing some answers during a dialogue with them/solving a quest in a certain way/giving them gifts.
The voice acting is top notch.And the dialogue is well written.
The game railroads you at the beginning, but after that you have a whole big map to move on.
The graphic looks fine on medium to all settings, and I especially like the cinematics and the blood.After a fight your characters are covered in blood, even during the close ins that appear during the dialogue, which is very cool in my opinion.
You may create traps, poisons, grenades, potions.
The inventory is separated into weapons/armour/craft/miscellanous/quest items and all, and it has a certain amount of slots.This means that you may get, for 70 slots as an example (you may upgrade with a backpack) 70 different items, and you seem to be able to stack the same item without limit.
There is a way to influience an NPC through dialogue, barter for a bigger reward, by increasing a stat called "cunning" and taking the "coerce" skill.
Just like in ME you need to become a special agent which is called "Grey Warden", but after that the game lets you take the quests in whichever order you want.I haven't finished it yet.

Any of you guys play Empire total war ?, or indeed the ones before which in order was

Shogun
Medieval
Rome
Medieval 2
Empire (18th cen wars)

All had added parts to them, and all of them when first released had there bad points, for example sadly empire was released far to early, i believe the guys who made it creative assembley were forced to release it early to make money, when they knew it was not fully finished, and its taking a lot of patches to make it any way decent, it looks great, but the stand alone game is a bit hit and miss

The best thing about the whole series is the mods for them, im playing darthmod for empireTW, and its great, they have completly reskinned the units, added loads of others, maps, sound etc, its like a new game, and they have put more men into each unit, i just had a battle with 7,000 brits vs 11,000 french, and it was epic as hell

Any way im a huge military history fan, and these games are great fun, but possibly the 3d real time battles may put some of, you dont control individual men , but units or either inf, cav art and in empire for the first time in the series naval ships in 3d battles.

I played all of them to death, not a massive fan of shogun or that period of history, but when it first came out there was nothing like it. If i had to pick, id say rome will always be the game i enjoyed most, but been playing a lot of Empire recently as i love my british redcoats.

NEW YORK - Footage leaked from "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" reveals that players of the upcoming video game can shoot innocent civilians in an airport in a realistic rendering of a terrorist attack.

The game, which has an "M" rating for mature audiences, comes out next month in what its publisher hopes may be the most lucrative launch in the history of entertainment, not just for games but counting music and movies too.

In a statement, game publisher Activision Blizzard Inc. said Wednesday the footage was taken illegally and is not representative of the game's overall experience. Instead, the game is designed to evoke the "atrocities of terrorism," Activision's public-relations agency said in an e-mailed statement.

The game follows players as they "face off against a terrorist threat dedicated to bringing the world to the brink of collapse," the company said. This includes a plot line in which the player infiltrates a Russian villain's inner circle to defeat him. Presumably the airport attack is one of the scenes in which the player acts as part of the villain's group.

Gamers are warned that the scene may be disturbing, and they can choose not to play through the part. It's unlikely, though, that most gamers will heed the warning, since it means skipping part of the game's intricate story.

Infinity Ward, the game's developer, hasn't shied away from disturbing imagery in the past. "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" begins with a character being driven through an occupied city, dragged out of the car, tied to a pole and then executed — all from the victim's point of view.
