Default Would legalizing pot change things for you?

If marijuana were made legal, how would it change your life?
Would you take up pot smoking?
Would you give it up ('cause its no longer a rebel thing)?
Do you think it would be okay medically, but shouldn't be used recreationally?
Do you honestly believe its a gateway drug?

I think pot being illegal when alcohol is not is ridiculous.
A bottle of whiskey will get you just as high as any illegal drug. And if alcohol weren't addictive there wouldn't be so many alcoholics.
But when the alcohol lobbyists are in control of law makers that's what we end up with.
It all comes back again to greed and control.

Why pot is illegal and cigarettes aren't baffles me. I don't smoke or do drugs and never ever will, but I just think people selling pot are way too much overcrowding our jails on taxpayer's money.

More like why they are legal to buy but are pretty much illegal to smoke.

If I had a nickel for every girl molested at the hand of a drunk I`d be a rich man. The truth of the marijuana issue is rich people in power like to get drunk. As long as the drunks control the country nothing will change for the better unless you are a drunk. Even after all the drunk driving murders and child molestations at the hands of alcoholics over the past 80 years. It has, and always will be an issue of money and power. And anyone who believes knows the love of money is the root of all evil.
Alcoholic cops arrest good people for growing plants. GO GREEN!!!! ha the only green drunks care about is money. Our nation is like a car. And currently only drunks are allowed to drive it. Good luck to those who want to legalize marijuana.

All i know is after alcohol i become violent, after whiskey even more so, after a smoke i'm completly the opposite, and because i'm one of the lucky few who realise my alchol problem i don't drink, personaly I don't think weed should be made legall, I think it should be made compulsary, imo how many wars could be avoided just cause the nation was too stoned to care and spent there time arguing who should get up to press the big red nuke button and go to the shop, car horns would become obsolite due to non use, "deadlines" would be a word only used in mourges and premeditaded murder should become non existant 'cause they'd take years to plan it and when they'd go to do it they'd forget what they were doing and just go and buy a big jar of chocolate spread and some cheese puffs, isn't the world so much better when viewed through rose tinted glasses....man

Tried it, but it didn't do much for me. Never been a smoker anyway, more of a drinker. I think it should be legal. Alcohol is much worse in nearly every way imaginable it seems. I don't know many stoned friends who like to go drive after smoking, but I do know quite a few who will drive after drinking.

Legalizing it would help in many ways. Besides the tax money, less money would be wasted on the court and prison systems, and people who smoke will actually get up and go to work the next morning, unlike many of those who drink and have hangovers.

People should be given the freedom to do what they want, provided they take responsibility for their actions. Just my libertarian ideals and opinions lol
