Uh, the first 2 Lego games, Lego Star Wars and Lego Star Wars the Original Trilogy, were pretty fun, but I saw no point in playing the third Lego SW game because it was just the first 2 in one pack. I didn't really find Lego Indy or Lego Batman any fun, however, because I felt a lot more limited on what I could do. Traveller's Tales is just a company what keeps trying to capitalize on the release of a big blockbuster. (Ex. Indy and the Crystal Skull, The Dark Knight) With the release of Transformers 2 later this year, I wouldn't at all be surprised if they made a Lego game centered around that franchise. I know these games are aimed for younger kids, so I reckon based on that, they're alright. Kids will like them. But, if you're a little older and still want to have fun with the Wii, try out that Zelda game (Twilight Princess) or the over-used Wii Sports.

How do these games "play" on the Wii compared to other platforms such as the Playstation 3?

I never got around to buying the new generation of games machine - still not sure whats more "me" PS3, Xbox360 or Wii.

There good on the imo. I really like them and think the playability is awesome. But tbh if I had the money at the time i would have bought a ps3!!

There by far the best console out at the moment (imo) and the gameplay on certain games is far superior to the wii

I agree with you on Indian Jones. While it is amusing for the video sequences and their ideas for using some of the characters such as having to fix things or dig stuff up was interesting and fun to do there is something missing out of it. I feel very limited having to hit a bunch of guys with guns where I lose half my health just getting to them. I get that Indiana didn't use a gun a lot but it is basically a rehash of the lego star wars without any gunners.

Lego Batman was as good if not better than the lego star wars in my opinion. The action was a bit heavier the game play more interactive and intuitive and the ability to play as the villains was just icing on the cake.

Also the newer Lego Star Wars released for the new systems is different from the originals. The first two released (the two games spanning episode 1 - 6) are rehashed into the new one but the levels are expanded and more was added to them. On top of that the all in one game includes like 7 new levels many more characters and cheats to unlock and so much more. It makes it worthy of re-buying but only when it hits the discount bin. Same thing for the Marvel Alliance Game. It is a far superior version on the newer systems vs. originals with the added characters and levels that were put into it.

I will agree that if you want an awesome game that will not disappoint I would go for Twilight Princess, any of the Call of Duty games, or Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles. If you want multiplayer fun then you can never go wrong with Smash Bros. Brawl.

Lego Star Wars is a great value as it's really two games in one. Has a lot of family friendly fun moments. Not deep game play but fun too play through.

Lego Indiana Jones was fun but just seemed like more of the same. Levels design and game play wasn't as well thought out and there seems to be a lot of deaths just for the sake of slowing your progress.

Lego Batman was a blast to play. I love seeing all the different heros and Villans in lego form and the gameplay altough similar seems more fast paced.

The best thing about the Lego games is 2 Player cooperative play. It seems reminiscent of arcade beat em' ups like Final Fight, Double Dragon and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

If your a big fan of cooperative game play I strongly suggest River City Ransom (NES) available for download on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console for (500 points). It's like a more fast paced Double Dragon. Castle Crashers for XBox Live arcade is decent too but it takes too long to level up your characters to progress in the game.

No More Heroes is a great game too. It can easily be found for around twenty bucks. Also Resident Evil 4 and Okami are great GameCube and PS2 Ports with updated control.

Yeah thanks for that - I know the PS3 is the better games machine.

But I wondered if the different style of gameplay you got on a Wii kind of counteracted that a bit.
