I saw the teaser and I can't wait. The first installment was so in-depth and the replay value is ridiculous. I still play it from time to time...needless to say, Mass Effect 2 is one game I am looking forward to.

There have been rumors of Mass Effect wanting to be a trilogy and now it is becoming a reality. Mass Effect 2 has been officially confirmed and is now in development. A teaser trailer is now up on the main Mass Effect site and you can google search "mass effect 2 trailer" to bring it up.
So far the only console it is listed on is the PC but I am sure a 360 version is soon to follow. Game developers have warned gamers to not delete their saves from the original Mass Effect because you can bring said saves in to Mass Effect 2 and use those stats. This has caused concern though among gamers as the teaser trailer states in no uncertain terms that John/Jane/whatever you picked for name Sheperd's status is KIA. A confusing and controversial trailer considering Mass Effect has been boasting the story is a trilogy revolving around the main character of Sheperd.
Anyway the trailer is very short but very powerful if you have played through the first game. I will certainly let you all know more about this game as more information surfaces.

All right, look, there's only one "Return," okay, and it ain't "of the King," it's "of the Jedi." - Randal Graves, Clerks 2
"They misunderestimated me." - George W. Bush, Bentonville, Ark., Nov. 6, 2000
That XPlay show on G4 pretty much confirmed the 360 version, and said that having the story of ME2 pick up from your old saves are most likely. I'm guessing, that trailor is meant to be controversial in that respect. Something of a cliffhanger.
Looking forward to it, either way.
Think for yourself. Question authority.
