Baldur's gate 2 Brawling supreme The point is this: I like the Baldur's gate series, but the second part (BG 2) is too much hacking and slashing and maiming and butchering! How about some dialogue (that doesn't suck ass) people? How about using your cunning?
Let's see:
-I escape from that wizard jail (spellstop or whatever) with a ship
-the ship is attacked by some githianky (I hope I spell ir right) and then from some fish-men and I am taken prisoner by them
-then I have to kill either the rebel prince or the king and of course, in order to reach the prince I need to beat up a beholder and some rebels
-then I punch the prince/king in the face and receive the magical rope that bring s me to the Underdark
-there I smash my way through the level to some earth gnomes or whatever
-where I need to punch the fuck out of a demon in order to get the light orb
-that helps me get to the silver dragon that gives me the mission of finding her eggs
-which require me fight my way to the drow city where I do some missions that require: saving a drow by smashing the fuck out of her kidnappers, kill the members of a cult, fireball some gnomes, stab to death a beholder or ilithid brain or fish men prince, and of course I have the ability to diplomaticaly find my way out, I mean kick the shit out of some drow/monsters in the arena
-than I smash some important drow's ass (forgotten his name)
-steal the eggs of the dragon which require stealth, uh I mean punching the shit out of some golems and guards
-summoning a demon and than fighting the whole damn drow city!!!
-and than I go to the dragon and to the surface where I need to kill even more people for some reason...you know, you are supossed to be the spawn of Bhaal, god of murder, not the god of reckless killing everything that moves.
What a great differenc between this and Planescape Torment.
And the mods are the same.
Do you think I'm exagerating?Or do you know some moods that don't require you to commit genicide?I have never thought that a video game could turn me off from killing virtual characters, but this does. |
