What are Rep Points?, What Do They Do for Me?, & How do I earn them or lose them?

Rep Points are a way to show members their posts are appreciated. This is a number that appears in the top right corner of any and all posts you make. In this corner you will see two different things: Rep Points and Rep Power.

Rep Points: This is the total number of rep points given to you.

Rep Power: This is how many points you can potentially give or take away from people.

All new members start out with 10 rep points and 0 rep power. This is so new members do not abuse the rep system just to gain access to the site. Rep points allow you to access the Celebrity NSFW, the Celebrity Explicit, and the Vids & clips sections of the site. The Celebrity NSFW section will be the first you unlock as it requires 15 rep points [Also known as Contributing member status] to access. The celebirty explicit and vids & clips section both take 100 rep points [Also known as full member status] to gain access to.

Rep Power is limited in certan areas though. If a person has a rep power of 9 and gives good/bad rep in any section other than the Celebrity Picture section then that person rep points will go up or down by 9. However if a person with a rep power of 9 gives good/bad rep in the Celebrity picture section then the most someone's rep points will go up or down by is 2. This means if you want to reach full member status quickly make posts in any forum other than the "Celebrity Picture forum".

So how do you gain rep points here? Simple, by posting topics in any forum. Seen a recent movie lately then write a review of it and post it in the movies section, played a new game write a review or start up a discussion about it in the gaming section, have some current world news you would like to share then post in the current news section, got some celebrity pictures then share them in the Celebrity pictures section.

Rep is not always given out to every post and in order to even be considered for getting rep a post must be worthwhile. This means posting a reply like "Thanks", posting a review that say "I liked it", or reposting existing images known as dupes will not earn you rep. Take time to explain your thoughts out, make intelligent points or arguments and you will start earning rep very quickly. It may take time for people to rep you so be patient and keep posting.

If you are wondering when you should give rep points well that is up to you. You can give rep if you liked someones post for whatever reason, if you found information useful [Such as a movie/game review], or if they answered a request that you made. In order to give rep just click on the image of the scale in the top right corner and make sure the "I approve" is clicked and type a small message in and click add rep.

Rep can also be taken away just as it is given. This is called Negative rep or simply neg rep for short. This is given when you break the rules of the site or are rude or post offensive messages. When you receive negative rep your reputation points go down. If you fall under the points needed for a certain member status then you will lose said status as well as the privileges that go with it. You can give out negative rep by clicking the scale and clicking the "I disapprove" and post the reason.

If you want full access to every forum and don't want to bother with rep points then paid subscriptions are available.
