My god that's ugly Apple have sinned against inature...

It seems the ipuke err phone uses EDGE to connect to the internet, which only gives a maximum data transfer rate of 384 kbps. If there's no EDGE conenctivity, it falls back to GPRS (32 - 48 kbps).

And all it seems to be is an apple version of the 02 / IPAQ / PDA devices that run windows CE.

But given the market for them ipod families, it will prolly sell 1,000,000 in the first 6 months.

My thoughts exactly mate - the hard drive is pretty chunky which in some ways equals useful but at the end of the day its a phone for gods sake.

As an all in one device it looks pretty cool but as a phone it sucks arse

you guys are breath of fresh air, most other sites on the net seem to be calling this the best phone in the world. but i agree with you guys, its nothin special, and doesn't really have anything new on it, except the sensor which detects which way its held which is kinda cool, but gimmicky. and the voicemail thing

and personally after using a number of smartphones, the touch screen seems to play up when you need to make a quick call.

But yeah despite this its still going to sell millions worldwide cos its the IPHONE!

By the way, very well written article
