With all the issues coming up in the 2008 election, Healthcare is going to be one of the bigger issues. I find it interesting to read about other countries and their healthcare systems and I am beginning to believe they are on the right track. Currently 40% percent of Americans do not have health insurance. That rate is suppose to increase dramatically as health care costs continue to rise. The Constitution of the United States guarantees the right to
Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If we have the right to Life, then I think that ties in strongly with healthcare. If you can't get healthcare your constitutional rights are being violated. There was an interesting article from a Canadian perspective. Here is the link:

I think it is time that the U.S needs to look at copying some of these other countries health care plans.
