Terminator: Salvation

Yep Terminator wasn't as good as I was hoping. The story was too lame. Been their done that a 1,000 times in action movies. The 1st Terminator was by far the best one ever made because it had an original idea, instead of thinking up a new idea they just throw the same old used ideas into the next edition. They should go ahead and put Christian Bale's face beside "bitterness" because that is all he can play. I tried to watch and see the scene where it was so intense he had a break down and for the life of me all his acting seemed the same.

well, i'm not expected too much for this movie...
but when i see it, i kinda have a litte suprise... not only its not a bad movie... but it is a good movie... the character is great (i love sam w's char, but yes, its not the best of christian bale... not so much of him here...)

so? because i've low expectation, i'm not dissapointed and even kinda enjoy this movie...
good & decent movie... oh yeah, and love the action...

This movie could have been worse, but yeah it wasn't the best. I thought the cruddy CG job on Arnold could have been better. At least get him and do some age reductions on him. Oh well, Hollywood wants and Hollywood gets....Greedy

Wasn't as apocalyptic as most were hoping, but I give it credit for trying. They could have done it way better if they'd tweeked just a couple things, but I enjoyed a lot of the nods to the first few movies, like the Guns n' roses song John uses to capture the motorcycle terminators. All in all I enjoyed it for what it was, and I had already wasted my anger when they canceled T: SCC

Good movie, not as good i was expecting. I was expecting a more depressing enviroment. I was expecting to feel through bale's acting despair and anger. A good movie, though

I didn't go to the cinema so I've seen it for the first time today. Here's my short review. I can't say i hated T4 but it was bad for Terminator series standards. First of all, why do all the Terminators in this movie make strange sounds (humming, buzzing, squeaking etc.)? Is this supposed to be cool or remind the audience about Transformers or what? That's not the biggest problem, because they don't look and "feel" scary. You don't get goosebumps whenever you see a Terminator. Instead you're laughing quietly at smart robots running around the screen. The cast of the movie was not great (especially Connor's girlfriend was bland) and the scene with Arnie was AWFUL (way too short and way too cheap). Other things I didn't like about the movie:
- soundtrack - sometimes they were fighting for their lives and a random action tune was playing in the background
- the silent kid - guess I'm not the only one here
- Terminator motorcycles? WTF? I can understand the large robot and the leeches but what's up with bikes?
- the whole plot with Blair wanting to help Marcus needed more development so that the viewer would understand why she risked her life for a machine
- trying too hard to put as many famous quotes from the previous films as possible

What i DID like:
- Kyle Reese & Marcus (I loved the fact that his character got more screen time than John Connor)
- beautiful apocalyptic sceneries
- Moon Bloodgood (I also thought that I will add Michael "Sam Fisher" Ironside to this list but his acting was almost as bad as Dennis Quaid's in GI Joe )
- nukes

Overall I'd give it 5-6/10 only because I'm sentimental.
