The Spirit

Was anyone else thoroughly disappointed by the movie The Spirit? After seeing Sin City when it came out and enjoying that movie, I expected so much more from the Spirit. I thought the acting was terrible, and the storyline couldn't even make up for the that. In my opinion, one of the worst movies released recently, and a total waste of money. I've talked to some friends who said they loved it. Am I alone on this?

The only ting I was impressed by with this film was Scarlett Johansson's cleavage and Eva Mendes in her sexy dresses and showing her bare ass. All of which are better viewed through caps anyway and available here.

Eh, it was decent. I've seen much worse films recently though. Hands down.

I thought it was clever, funny and had the same effects as Sin City. Not terrible, it was more action/comedy. I give it a generous 5 out of 10....

For the star power it had, it lacked alot and seemed flat most of the time.

I've never heard of it, was it a sequel to Sin City? Because I liked that movie. Although I don't think Eva Mendes is very pretty, so that might ruin it for me.

No this is in no way connected to Sin City (a much better film) this is based on a different series by Frank Miller and all I can say is don't see it. If you want a taste of how the acting is the whole movie just do a search for the video of Eva Mendes showing her bare ass (this should be easy to find). That 10 second or so scene is the peak of the acting you will get. Everything is done the same as that scene but flatter, and more monotone.

Sin City > Spirit, without a shadow of doubt. I liked it but it was nothing really special.
