Hotpress for Leopold has some really great songs. I love their song Barn Burner and especially Can't stop the bomb. Their style is really different, but thats what I love about them Check them out!

Definitely Alter Bridge. Three of their members are from Creed (who I really don't like all that much) but they sound very different. Heavier and more intelligent sounding in a way. Their second album, Blackbird is one of my favorite albums of all time. If you guys like hard rock with soaring vocals, you really should check them out right now. I think they're recording their third album right now.
i like mgmt. they've been around since 2002 but no one around where i live know about them. their music is so unique and almost trance-like

Lights. She is well known in Canada right now and is about to blow up in the US.

I bought a couple of "the Shins" albums, after hearing a great song in the Garden state movie soundtrack.."New Slang" ....beautiful song.
3OH!3, Kid Cudi, and Cobra Starship
Benny Greb.
I'm not sure if you would still consider them new, but they haven't really broken into the mainstream success of Fall Out Boy, but Forever the Sickest Kids are definitely a band to keep a look out for. Their cd, Under Dog Alma Mater was an amazing cd with all 12 songs being phenominal, and they even reissued it as a Deluxe Edition with demos, early versions, and the Punk goes Pop version of "Love Story"

I guess they aren't brand new, but they are new to me: The Band : Sons Of Bill Love the song My Hometown.
(I just started a thread about them here: Sons of Bill )
