In these early days of growth, I want to encourage as much contribution from our members as possible.
This way we can continue to grow Newsgab and our community as a whole.
Our Celebrity Picture forums are proving to be one of the most popular forums within our site. We've recently made a change so that only members can view images uploaded onto our servers, however to discourage lurking and to reward those members who take the time to contribute, I'm going to lock down certain forums a little more.
Today I have set up a new member group specifically for those members who take the time to contribute.
These members will be given full access to the
Celebrity Not Safe for work content on the site whilst standard members will be restricted to the safe for work areas.
We are using the reputation system to promote users into this group and as you'll see below, its not to hard to progress.
When you register as a member at Newsgab you are awarded with 10 reputation points.
To become a 'recognised contributor' at Newsgab which in turn will give you these improved access rights you need an additional 5 reputation points (total of 15)
You don’t need to always post pictures to gain reputation points. Reputation points can be gained in any of our forums so if you want to post about a recent
movie you've seen or the latest
game you've played then post away in the appropriate forum.
Remember though, you are awarded reputation points by members who appreciate your posts. Posting rubbish will not gain you any reps (your reps could even go down) so keep this in mind when posting.
