What is up with the "The server is busy. Try again later" popping up every 2-3 minutes now. It is making it very difficult to do anything. It barely stays up to get one small post done.

The server is only up for 5 minutes at the most for me. Then it is showing "Busy" for anywhere up to 2 - 4 hours.

Iv'e just been getting, sever to busy try again later, for the last two days! What going on?

I'm getting the same error as Fadeout almost all the time. This is probably the first time I was able to log in properly since yesterday.

My posts have been going up mostly due to patience and speed. When I have gotten the server to load I bring up the new post or whatever I am adding to and get the reply ready then quickly add the images and post. I usually get 1 or 2 off before it shuts down and I have to wait. I have notice late at night (for my area) the server seems to connect better but during the day I can't even get the front page to load.

Chief had made some changes to the site a while ago to help reduce the risk of the site running amuck and taking out the server (which it has done in the past). That is why you see the "Server is busy" page.

Unfortunately, the site / server is seeing larger than normal traffic of late (being popular will do that to you ), which is maxxing out the changes Chief made.

When Chief gets a moment, I'm sure he will make some more changes to help reduce these problems. Although you may need to a bit patient. as real life is a bit hectic these days...

I've tweaked the site again guys and will monitor. Apologies for the issues of late.

As Monkey mentioned, we made the changes to stop our server crashing altogether when we get traffic spikes.

We'll monitor the benefit of the recent changes and will tweak the server again as necessary.

No problem Chief. Thanks for the speedy fixes. I figured it was just a server overload but 2 days straight. Man we have to be one of the top forums on the net for that kind of traffic.
