This info from the FAQ ^ is wrong.Your signature is the snipped of information which you can have automatically added to the end of every one of your posts.
When adding your signature, please keep the following rules in mind:
All signature pictures must be hosted outside of Newsgab. As your signatures have to be opened please ensure that they are no bigger than 375 x 175 pixels and 50k in size.
Please do not link off site in signatures, except when linking to pictures or other Newsgab posts.
Newsgab has a zero zollerance of SPAM so please do not annoy our members by making your signatures into some sort of web ad. (i.e. Advertising in your signatures is not allowed).
Please note - Full signature permissions will not be awarded to you until you reach 'contributing member' status
1. Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 175 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
2. The sigs are hosted onsite, not outside the site.
3. Also, what about gifs? Anything against using those?
Hmm...
The quote I posted is from the FAQ, and the stuff under it is what I actually see in my user CP. The info differs.
Also, as I said in the first post, the FAQ says host sigs outside, but the hosting is clearly onsite. So, again, wrong FAQ info.
And, the size and dimensions of the sig in actuality is different than what the FAQ says too. The FAQ gives lots of wrong information about sigs and should be ammended.
Not to be rude, but I don't think you read my first post very carefully.
Hi mate, signature rules and 'privileges' differ by member group. The FAQ relates to 'standard' members.
Cheers
