JERSEY CITY -- A man held up a gas station near the Holland Tunnel wielding a gun in one hand and a potato in the other late Sunday, police said in a report in the Jersey Journal.
According to the report, the robber entered the Gulf station demanding money. After obtaining the money, the robber walked to the nearby Burger King parking lot and drove off in a two-door black vehicle heading east toward the tunnel, police told the Jersey Journal.
The robber is described as 30 to 35 years old, of strong build, and having red dreadlocks, the report said. Police did not know why the man was holding a potato, the report said.
