I know in Oz, it's cheaper to buy a new DVD burner ($40), and use the "free" copy of Nero / Roxio" than it is to buy it off the shelf ($70-$80).

My personal preference is Nero. It's easy to use, and has a few cool AVI to DVD converting tools in it.

You starting yer own "Hillbilly porn website"?

Some camera programs have links to burning software like Nero so that all you need to do is import the video into the software, and click the "convert to DVD" button. IT then does the rest. But as c2s said above, it could chugg away fer hours and die at 99% if there's a glitch with the video or the computer.

Yeah, I've turned out quite a few 'coasters' burning vids.....I find Nero seems to work best and plays on most players, but on a lot of sites you get different info......I've had the most issues with Roxio, especially not playing on all players.......
