i have some pics on my phone and in the past i have either used bluetooth or usb now neither will work...any ideas???

Do other usb things still work? Like mouse, thumb drive, etc.

Are you trying to get the pics from your cellular phone to your computer? Because if that's your problem try and send your pictures to your email address through a picture SMS...or is your problem just that your USB drives aren't working?

yeah i have done the e-mail, sms thing but it's more that usb's arent working

If nothing USB is working I'd guess the onboard USB died. You could try reloading the drivers. I had a desktop do it but could add a addon card to get it back not sure if Laptops can.

EDIT
You can get addons cards for laptops. PCMCIA to USB

As this is a laptop are you sure the usb is still connected inside the case. On some laptops the usb ports are on cables which plug into the motherboard I once had the same problem as you which was caused by the cable becoming unplugged. Hope this helps!

In some sort of laptops yoy have to install drivers such graphics, audio or chipset driver in proper order in case same may not work, usb as well, perhaps this is the problem. Eventually try find in the BIOS usb option and make sure that is enabled, i hope this will help
