Nope. All I care about in a phone is that it can make and recieve calls.

The iPhone launches in the UK this week and is more or less guaranteed to be a success, but it's undoubtedly a case of style over substance. It has a feature set that would have struggled to be cutting edge 3 or 4 years ago (with the exception of it's touch screen, although the iPaq 6300 series covered that).
It's going to cost £270, plus the monthly contract cost. O2, who have exclusivity on the handset in the UK, will be making nothing out of the deal other than kudos and usage charges. Is anyone tempted to replace their current mp3 player and phone with an iPhone?
It certainly has it's shortcomings, no MMS, no downloadable or mp3 ringtones etc. but I'm sure it will have some positives as well. I'm perfectly happy with my Nokia n95 at the moment but have to say I'm tempted by the LG U990 (apart from the fact it's called Viewty).
What are your thoughts?

I bought an iPhone once they did the huge price drop. It was possibly the best purchase I've ever made! The iPod function is awesome, the touch screen is slick, the Safari web Browser is by far the best cell phone internet browser out there... simply amazing!![]()
Not me. I'll be lucky if i am able to buy minutes and install them properly on my cell phone.
Isn't it true that once you drop service, the iPod function (and all the other functions for that matter) stop working? So, basically you're left with a very expensive paper-weight. I heard this when they first came out & was wondering if it's true.
I already have an iPod (they ARE awesome) & a pre-paid cell-phone; so I have no need for an iPhone even if they were giving them away.![]()
When I see your face,My hearts burst into fire!
Closest I got was a new 16 IPOD touch which I treated myself to last week.
The IPOD touch is awesome and I can appreciate the benefits of having an integrated phone, however I already have a mobile and as I've lost about 6 mobiles in the last year after a few to many beers I'd rather the company I work for pick up the cost of my drunken antics rather then me.
Also, the IPOD Touch has wireless and with the number of access points increasing I still get the benefits of web access in most places to.
Identical in every way really except without the GSM Clicky Click
Good post Andy - Reps to you mate

I prefer my Nokia N73 to that. The iPhone is MASSIVE. Wont be getting one as i already have a phone, an MP3 player and a laptop. Why waste money duplicating?
But for those that do have one, if it breaks you wont be too worried, because some little chav will have robbed it long before then!

I have to say, I am tempted to get an iPhone, but I think it's wise to wait it out a bit and get a second or third generation, as Apple hardware can generally be a bit flaky when it first appears.
Although it's got some great features, don't you think it's a bit poor that you can't send MMS messages?
