Miss the latest episode of "Heroes"? Just head over to NBC.com and watch it online. In full. With limited commercial breaks, no less. The same goes for shows on CBS, ABC, and The CW. All of those networks have their shows available to watch on their respective websites. This is a feature that the major networks started doing last season and the trend has caught on. Even the Nielson ratings people figure in how many people watch shows online as well as tune in to their television sets.
The FOX network was the exception. During the 2006-07 season, FOX still hadn't joined the trend of having their shows available to view on their website. Sure, you could find a stray episode of "The War At Home" or "Prison Break" on places like YouTube and MySpace, but most of their other shows were not available online. This season, however, FOX has jumped on the bandwagon and has their shows available to view on their website. If you want to see "King of the Hill", "Prison Break", "Bones", or any of their other great programs, but don't have the time to watch them on TV, simply head over to
http://www.fox.com/fod/ and view the latest episode of your favorite show.
(Ghost Whisperer fans, however, still have to do some old-fashioned recording.)
