reply to what? You posted a statement not a question. A statement can generate conversation but the way you worded it leaves no room for an open discussion. If you want to stimulate conversations about stuff say what you like and why you like it. Give details, analyze and critique the show, and then ask what others think of it, assuming anyone else watches the show. I watched the first episode and felt the show was utter crap. I couldn't even sit through one full episode. The show to me said lets throw a really tricked out car that talks, give a lot of action, and a hot girl and people will watch the show. The story lines are on par with Smallville which sucked and do not do the KR series justice. I thought the original was ok but remakes and reboots are really starting to bore me. I want an original idea for a show. I like some shows on TV that the content may not be new but the way they present is innovative and exciting. Heroes took the superheroes idea and brought into a reality that is believable and made a very interesting, mysterious, and exciting story line to it. Castle took the cop drama shows and made it a light hearted version of Law and Order basically. The added bonus of having Nathan Fillion who brings the same humor from Firefly into the show really makes the show pop. Chuck took an old and over used idea of spoofing the spy genre and made it fun and entertaining again. These are just a few of the shows that have done this but shows like KR just take original content, add graphics, and throw in a minimal storyline just doesn't do it for me.
Still the point is create topics that allow for discussion. I stated my thoughts above in ways that outline how I felt and what I liked/disliked about shows. This allows people to respond to what I said because they now have something more than "I really like the show", "I think they shouldn't cancel it".
Also to top it off at the end add in What do you guys think or something like that. If you don't provide good descriptions about your likes or dislikes about something then you will find it hard to drum up discussions. Treat this like a writing class where you have to lay out your thoughts. Give a intro: The name of the show and what you think about it. Then give a body to it: What your likes/dislikes are, what you feel they could change to make it better, ect. Then ask what others think or close it off with some sort of closing argument that can generate discussion such as "I don't think the show could get any better." This statement allows people to read what you thought and then they could respond to it by saying how they felt it could be better or agree with you and add in their own thoughts. Remember writing is a fluid language and can take you many places. Use it to your advantage, because here you don't have anything else. Be fun, inventive, detailed, and intelligent and you will find starting up discussions will be a lot easier.
Also remember not all shows are watched by enough people to generate discussion so don't be surprised if no one responds right away. Give it time and someone may respond. Also remember a large portion of our community is only here for the pics and what amounts to a core group participate elsewhere.
