Default NBC's "Kings" abdicates Sunday slot

By James Hibberd

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC is pulling "Kings" from its Sunday berth after four low-rated airings, and will air the drama's remaining eight episodes on Saturdays.

The modern retelling of the story of King David stars Ian McShane as a despotic ruler. The costly soap left many critics scratching their heads.

It will be replaced with a second hour of "Dateline," which will now run for two hours starting at 7 p.m. NBC is hoping the move will benefit 9 p.m.'s "Celebrity Apprentice," which has lost viewers because of its weak "Kings" lead-in.

The remaining episodes of "Kings" will start airing on April 18.

Never even watched it. The 800 times I saw the commercial for it made me tired of it. At first thought about giving it a try but got sick of seeing or hearing about it.

I agree entirely man. I turn on the tube and watch it for maybe 3 or 4 hours a week and I saw the commercial at least 25 times. Over marketing killed the thing before it got started.

I have not seen it either. I agree about the over-advertising.
