LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC is pulling "Kings" from its Sunday berth after four low-rated airings, and will air the drama's remaining eight episodes on Saturdays.
The modern retelling of the story of King David stars Ian McShane as a despotic ruler. The costly soap left many critics scratching their heads.
It will be replaced with a second hour of "Dateline," which will now run for two hours starting at 7 p.m. NBC is hoping the move will benefit 9 p.m.'s "Celebrity Apprentice," which has lost viewers because of its weak "Kings" lead-in.
The remaining episodes of "Kings" will start airing on April 18.
