Special version of upcoming 3D fighting game to have artbook and in-game swimsuit costumes; available only at GameStop outlets in North America.
Tecmo Koei has announced a collector's edition for the upcoming fighting game Dead or Alive 5.
The GameStop-exclusive collector's edition will contain a copy of the game, a hardcover art book, downloadable in-game swimsuit costumes for each of the female cast members, a poster featuring main character Kasumi, and a soundtrack CD. This version of the game will be packed in a customized steel casing.
The collector's edition is slightly different than the Japanese version, which contains eight character postcards and ten character metal plates in addition to the aforementioned content. The GameStop-only collection will cost $79.99 while the Japanese version will cost 11,340 yen ($142). The downloadable swimsuits will also be available as paid DLC after the game's release on September 25.
Dead or Alive 5 features destructible arenas, a rock-paper-scissors fighting mechanic and playable guest characters from Sega's Virtua Fighter like Akira and Sarah Bryant. For more information, check out GameSpot's coverage on the title.
