DETROIT (AP)—Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford(notes) and linebacker DeAndreLevy(notes) were back in the lineup for Detroit’s game against the Washington Redskins.
Stafford (shoulder) returned after being injured in the first game of theseason. Levy returns from a groin injury.
Inactive for the Redskins was running back Clinton Portis(notes), out with a groininjury.
With Lions backup quarterback Shaun Hill(notes) sidelined with a broken arm,Detroit was forced to name reserve wide receiver Derrick Williams(notes) as its thirdquarterback. Williams played some quarterback at Penn State, but has never takenan NFL snap.
