Atlus has confirmed that the PSP version of the only Persona title never to make it out of Japan will be launching later this month.

The spreading of rumors is a key part of Innocent Sin's gameplay.

Shin Megami Tensei fans patiently awaiting the release of Persona 2: Innocent Sin on PSP can rest easy -- the game is coming on September 20 both in store and via PSN.

The PSP edition of the game -- which has previously never been localized -- will come with a 10 track music CD for a limited period after launch. Atlus encourages fans to Shoji Meguro's music to preorder the game to guarantee themselves a copy of the soundtrack.

For those still unfamiliar with Innocent Sin, the plot revolves around rumors starting to become reality -- a rumor which includes the fact that the emblem of the Seven Sisters High School is cursed and will disfigure its wearer's face. There's a compelling argument against school uniforms if ever I heard one.

The PSP remake features enhanced graphics over the PS1 original along with a remastered soundtrack and a selection of new quests to explore.

Watch out for it on September 20. In the meantime, check out the official website.
